Disaster update
Well it's been much of the same here in Tuscaloosa, we've been working at the volunteer center leading safety briefings, registering volunteers, and working in the call center. The volunteer flow has slowed down so it's often pretty boring, but we have luckily been able to go out and do some assessments and debris removal as well. The debris removal is actually the most enjoyable part except for the heat, but we've gotten luck and it's cooled down considerably so it'll make it much more comfortable to go out and move debris. We're going to be joined today in Moundville by four more teams, Raven 6 is going to be here so I'm totally pumped about that. Right now we have no idea how long we're staying down here, we're assuming at least 30 days or possibly all of second round. But I have my plane ticket home for July 1st which makes me ridiculously happy, I'm definitely ready for a break even if it is just a week. I have some more pictures but I'm not on my laptop so they'll have to wait. Until next time!
